With big apps it's boring to wait 10 minutes to package ios app just to be able to retry something. Is there a way to make flash builder listen for usb debugging like after the debug packaging bug without re-package ?
[IOS-Android] Is it possible to make flashbuilder listening for usb debugging without re-packaging an app ?

including .as files in FB 4.6 while preserving code hinting and completion...
Im working in flash builder 4.6 and having a blast... one thing Id like to do to keep my code better organized is have external files (.as presumably) that each represent a modular code block / process / function then just be able to edit those respective files and STILL have the cool code completion and hinting that shows when Its all in the main mxml document.
Is that something that Flash Builder supports?
Another code editing question that comes to mind is regarding 'code folding'... neat feature and I used to use it alot in Dreamweaver -- but always thought it would be MORE powerful if the user could 'save' or 'persist' folded code so that if I have folded areas, close the file and then resume editing, it remembers the code folding ... does FB support something like this?
How to override styles of existing Skin(Cobalt Graphical) using MX Component?
Hello ,
We are using Flash Builder 4.7 with ASP.Net 4.0 in our application. The generated SWF is getting integrated in web page.
I need to override few styles of existing skin (Cobalt Graphical - using MX Components). Can someone guide where and how to customize the existing skin classes ?
Thanks,
NS
cannot install cf builder, says already configured
I had to reinstall FB 4.6 over top of existing FB 4.6 was not able to uninstall, was a really ugly mess between CC/FB 4.7 and FB 4.6 getting corrupted during CC uninstall.
FB 4.6 Now opens but my CFB 2 plugin is toast. CFC's open with word pad and Cf server is no where to be found.
Tried reinstall CFB2 and I get an error message stating CFB plugin is already configured to run with this instance of eclipse, please select a different instance of eclipse to continue.
Um what it is uninstalled from control panel, and not even in the system.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Jim
Unable to start Flash Builder 4.5
I am unable to start Flash Builder. Right at the splash screen I get an error saying to look in the log file, but I don't see where the problem is in the log file. Could anyone help me out. I'll post the log error file.

Setting background image on Flash Builder 4.5 application
Hi,
I would like to set a background image on my Flash Builder 4.5 application. Does anyone know how to do this? Haven't seen an example that does this. Flex 3 made this very easy to do, but not 4.5
Thanks
How can I Upgrade Flash Builder Standard from 4.6 to 4.7
How can I Upgrade my purchased Flash Builder Standard 4.6 to Flash Builder Standard 4.7 Standard?
Current serial number is not valid? Where can I request a new one?
this link [ Buying guide | Adobe Flash Builder 4.7 Standard ] shows that this update is free?
So is it really free?
Multiple Flash Builder Installations
I have Flash Builder 4.5 installed on my PC. I want to install Flash Builder 4.7 also leaving Flash Builder 4.5 untouched. (I want to migrate my apps from 4.5 to 4.7 gradually over a period of time testing each carefully.) Is this doable? If so, how can I do this? Thanks.
Flex mobile
Is it possible to build a flex mobile app that downloads a zip file from a remote server to the users device and extracts it for us within the app?
Just need to know if its possible or are there security restrictions that apply.
'AIR App' failed to install via iTune sync with Flash Builder 4.6
Hi all,
After download and setup fresh installation of Flash Builder 4.6, I start to create a simple Mobile project and run it as Fast build configuration.
I got a IPA file, so I added it to iTune, plugged my iPad, and sync the app.
Surprisingly, after synchronization completed, iPad shows a pop up: 'App Name' failed to install. This also happen with iPod touch too.
I use:
- Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2
- latest XCode version.
- iOS certification and provision file that can be used in prerelease version of 4.6 and 4.5.1
I have to tell you that I don't do anything special in my project, just a button, photo, and a list.
Could you help me solve this? it might be a bug or may happen to the other.
Flash IOS StageWebView has no sound
Hi guys,
I would like just to ask if you have encountered rendering an html5 with video tag on your air application and ending up with no sound.
I'm just wondering because when a deployed it on my ipad, the video works perfectly but theres no sound playback.
I hope you could help me guys. I'm already in pain for the past 2 days.
Heres my code:
protected function onAddedToStage(evt:Event):void
{
var webView = new StageWebView();
webView.stage = this.stage;
webView.viewPort = new Rectangle( 0, 0, 500, 400);
var path:String = new File(new File("app:/html/test.html").nativePath).url;
webView.loadURL(path);
}
html file:
<html>
<head>
<title>Test</title>
</head>
<body>
<video width="500" height="500" controls>
<source src="Eh_1.mp4" type="video/mp4">
Your browser does not support the video tag.
</video>
</body>
</html>
Thank you so much guys.
Flash Builder 4.7 x64 not launching in Windows 8
I have reinstalled FB many times on my machine and on each installation after a while Flash Builder stops opening. I keep my task manager open to see what's going on but the process doesn't seem to start, or if it does, it closes immediatly. Where can I see the error log? I can start Flash Builder normally if I use FlashBuilderC.exe
Invalid Launch Image in Flash Builder 4.6
I've been making updates and releases to my iPad app for the last several months, but just recently, I started receiving this email back from Apple:
iPhone 5 Optimization Requirement - Your binary is not optimized for iPhone 5. As of May 1, all new iPhone apps and app updates submitted must support the 4-inch display on iPhone 5. All apps must include a launch image of the appropriate size. Learn more about iPhone 5 support by reviewing the iOS Human Interface Guidelines.
I've been googling this for a while, and have tried adding Default.png (320x480), Default-586h.png (640x960), and Default-586h@2x.png (640x960) files to the root directory and made sure they were being compiled into the .ipa file. With the Default-586h@2x.png file, I received an additional error in the nastygram from Apple:
Invalid Launch Image - Your app contains a launch image with a size modifier that is only supported for apps built with the iOS 6.0 SDK or later.
So I took out the @2x file and it still failed. Now, my app isn't even intended for the iPhone5, it's intended for the iPad. What can I do to make them happy so I can keep making releases?
Flash Builder 4.7 on OSX 10.9 (Mavericks)
Hey Everyone,
If you've updated to OS X Mavericks BETA and you're unable to start Flash Builder 4.7 visit the following page and download the the file on the right.
Install Java 6 and run Flash Builder and everything should work as normal.
Can't Connect to Remote MySQL (60)
I'm trying to connect my project to a remote mysql database, but I'm getting this error:
Server error Can't connect to MySQL server on 'ipaddress' (60)
I'm using the same connection settings that we use on our regular non-flash website. Doesn't anyone know what 60 means?
Error uploading air application to Apple
I am getting an error trying to upload an app to the iOS store.
The application was developed using FlashBuilder 4.7 and Flex 4.11.0.
ERROR ITMS-9000: “No architectures in the binary. Lipo failed to detect any architectures in the bundle executable.” At SoftwareAssets/SoftwareAsset (MZItmspSoftwareAssetPackage)
Does anyone have any ideas as to what this error is? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Air to C Native Extention - Error #3500
Hello, I'm new to the Adobe Forums, and I was hoping I could get some help with the Native Extension I am trying to build to connect a C dll to an Air project with Flash Builder 4.6. This is a simple hello world project, so I wasn't expecting such complications.
If you want to take a look, this is the tutorial I followed: http://quetwo.com/2011/12/10/creating-a-windows-air-native-extension-with-eclipse-part-4/
Now, I managed to:
1. Write the C files (SampleANE.c and SampleANE.h) using MinGW
2. Generate the .dll file (libSampleANE.dll release version)
3. Write the actionscript class (SampleANE.as) and its descriptor file (descriptor.xml)
4. Compile said files into an .ane file using adt from the Flash Builder library (Note: I properly extracted the library.swf)
5. Include that .ane file within a flex project using the built-in Native Extention handler
6. And write a simple flex program that uses the functions (SampleANEProject.mxml and SampleANEProject-app.xml)
Whenever I try to call any function from the native C, however, I receive the error...
ArgumentError: Error #3500: The extension context does not have a method with the name isSupported. at flash.external::ExtensionContext/_call() at flash.external::ExtensionContext/call() at com.tfirk118.samples.ANESample::SampleANE/isSupported()[C:\Users\owner\Adobe Flash Builder 4.6\SampleANELib\src\com\tfirk118\samples\ANESample\SampleANE.as:25] at SampleANEProject/isANESupported()[C:\Users\owner\Adobe Flash Builder 4.6\SampleANEProject\src\SampleANEProject.mxml:19] at SampleANEProject/___SampleANEProject_Button1_click()[C:\Users\owner\Adobe Flash Builder 4.6\SampleANEProject\src\SampleANEProject.mxml:40]
where "isSupported" could be any function I tried to define.
From debugging my code, I'm certain the Flex portion and the ActionScript portion are working perfectly as far as the calling of functions. The ActionScript also seems to grab a ExtentionContext object from ExtentionContext.getExtentionContext(...), as _ExtentionContext isn't receiving null.
I'll post my code for all my files down here (sorry if this isn't proper etiquette, but I'm trying to be thorough):

No Design Mode in Flash Builder 4.7
It took me many hours to figure this out so I thought I would share what I discovered to make it easier on others.
1. Flash Builder 4.7 no longer has Design Mode (being able to design forms graphically). 4.6 was the last version to support it.
2. Adobe will not sell you 4.6 (or 4.5). They only sell 4.7. They suggest you find a retailer who has an old box.
3. Don't bother complaining, the word is "real programmers don't use design mode".
4. I called support yesterday to get some questions answered. I was told the wait time is over 2 hours and I can't leave a callback number. (At least at that time, they only let you leave a callback number for product returns - which I also did.)
I spent over 8 hours on this yesterday at a cost, in terms of lost revenue, of 4 figures. I hope this saves you some time.
Blake
