How to obtain installed license key

Hi

 

I am trying to find out if there is a way to find my license key for Flash Builder 4 Premium?

 

I've googled around and see that there are registry programs that can locate it.


But is there an official way that I can see my license key? I am unsure what key I used, and my co-worker uses a Mac with a different key. We arent sure who has used what from our key list.

 

My boss is asking me which key I used and I am unsure.

 

Is it in my Adobe account, if I log in and look through my profile?

 

Any ideas?


How to Download Adobe Flash Builder 4.6?

I'm trying to download Flex 4.6 from this link (http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=flash_builder), where I'm directed from the main Downloads page. I press 'Download now' and I cand download the file 'Adobe_Flash_Builder_4.6-AkamaiDLM.exe' . I run this .exe and in 2 clicks I see that I have successfully installed 'Akamai Net Session Interface' , no path, no components, nothing....then nothing happens.... I expect that this Download Manager download and install Flex. What to do with this? I need Adobe_Flash_Builder_4.6, so please tell me how can I get this trial. Thanks.

I'm really frustrated by this error. I was using flash builder 4.5 with no issues; I was able to get my first flash project on my android device. I updated my flash builder to 4.6 - and as a part of this process was told to uninstall the previous (Flash Builder 4.5) version. I installed, imported my old project - made a few reference changes and was able to get the desktop simulator to work with Flash Builder 4.6.

 

Now, I want my new project to run on my android and test with a gps sensor. I export release build - go through the steps I went through before and instead of it working; I get an error that my dx tool failed. No mention of what failed within the dx tool, just that it failed and I can't be helped. I rebooted my computer, same issue. I created a new project with nothing but just the stock project - still nothing worked. I uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled, created a new project and I'm still not working. How can I fix this and get back up and running?

AIR SDK to Target Flash Player 9

I'm developing a project that targets Flash Player 9.  Is there any way in an FB4.7  pure Actionscript project to target the Player version, not the AIR SDK version? If not, what is the AIR version that targets Flash Player 9? I know that I can set the Player version in the compiler settings but the earliest AIR version I have installed is 3.6 which asks for at minimum Player version 10.1.

 

As an alternative, I'm considering using a Flash Pro format FB4.7 project and wondered if there is any drawback to using the Flash Pro compiler? I'm assuming that a Flash Player 9 targetted project would use the newer compiler.

 

Edit: It appears that even the Flash Pro project in FB4.7 points to the AIR sdk. So which AIR sdk supports Player 9?

Burrito Mobile Android App - Can't Debug On Device

Hi,

 

I followed the TwitterTrends tutorial on how to build a mobile android app.  I got to the point to debug on the device (phone, mine is Motorolla Droid - Android 2.2 os), and it just doesn't work.  Here is what is set up on my phone:

  • Phone is connected with USB
  • USB storage is on
  • USB Debugger is turned on
  • The phone is connected to the wireless network that my computer is plugged into - development computer can ping my phone
  • My computer's firewall is off
  • I have followed all the instructions on how to debug on the device, nothing, can't find a device

So, my coputer sees my phone (I can browse its directories) and my phone sees my computer.  What else could be going wrong??  Not much on the internet about people having problems and seems like it should be easy.

 

Please let me know if you have any suggestions!!

Invalid Configuration Location error on startup

I have just installed Flash Builder 4.5 on my Windows 7 Enterprise edition. I installed this using my username (not Administrator), which has local administrative rights. When I start the program, I'm getting the error

Any reason for this error and what's the workaround?

Flash Builder 4.5 fails to update after a clean install

  1. Install 4.5 on my Mac
  2. Configure nothing/do nothing
  3. Run Update
  4. Get the following:

I can get premium very easily off of the website, but it will not let me activate with my 4.7 standard key.  I need flash builder 4.7 standard.  After hours of searching I have not found any way to download it.  This should be easy!

Packaging error using Xcode 5 simulators

I'm attempting to test mobile Air apps against iOS 7 via the Xcode 5 simulators, through Flash Builder 7.  My apps (Flex 4.6+/Air 3.5+) open just fine in the simulators packaged with Xcode 4. However, once I install Xcode 5 GM, I get the following error:

 

"Error occurred while packaging the application:

SDK is missing GPL component /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/S DKs/iPhoneSimulator6.1.sdk/../../../../../usr/llvm-gcc-4.2/lib/gcc/"

 

This error is occurring for for any targeted simulator (6.0/6.1/7.0/etc) and any Air version.

 

If I go back to Xcode 4, I don't have any problems up through v6.1 of the simulators.

 

Any thoughts?

Hi,

I'm facing this issue:

 

When I use FB 4.7 GUI, everything works OK.

When I use FB 4.7 command line, it fails as follows:

 

  • org.osgi.framework.BundleException: Exception in com.adobe.flexbuilder.codemodel.CMCoreActivator.start() of bundle com.adobe.flexbuilder.codemodel.


By the way, I’ve overlaid FB 4.7 with AIR SDK 14 (which works fine in GUI).

Output folder in Flash Builder 4.6 refuses to be anything but relative

I just updated from Flash Builder 4.5 to 4.6. Things seemed to be going ok in terms of importing all my projects etc. (why can't there be a simple upgrade process rather than a complete uninstall/reinstall process?)

 

But then I got to setting the Output Folder within the Flex Build Path section of the properties of my project.

 

Now, as our dev environments we run glassfish servers locally on our testing machines and build our apps directly into them so our testing process is very quick. This was working fine in Flash Builder 4.5, I point my app's output folder to a location of the form:

 

C:\Users\myUserName\glassfish3\glassfish\domains\domain1\eclipseApps\appname

 

And that works fine, set by pasting in from an explorer window or Browsing there via the Browse button next to the field.

 

Now when I try to do this within Flash Builder 4.6 I get nothing at all appearing if I use the browse button. No error, nothing saying it failed, just an empty field. If I try to paste in anything I get an error from Flash Builder saying '"Paste" did not complete normally."

 

If I try to just type in the path it fails, it strips the leading C:\ and turns it into a relative path, which is completely useless.

 

This is getting really annoying!

Cannot update FB 4.5 to 4.5.1

I tried everything to get the update. I rebooted several times. Reinstalled several times. NOTHING! This is driving me crazy as I can just watch the videos in the webinars but cannot do anything. Someone please help. I hope Adobe is listening. It is really NOT FAIR to show something cool for which we paid money and then not give it to us. Several people have reported this problem.

 

Here is the error that I am getting:

  There was an error installing this update. Please quit and try again later. Error Code: U44M2I218

 

If I try "Help -> Search for Flash Builder Updates" it is saying that my application is up to date. IT IS NOT!!!!!

 


USB Debugging Android OS 4.2.x or Above Failing

Hey all,

 

I starting to get more and more devices that both don't come with a USB driver (relying on MTP) and fail to authorize themselves with Windows. Not all 4.2 devices do this however, I'm noticing Samsung is pretty special in this way.

 

I have the latest Android SDK, the default google USB driver as well. 'adb devices' continuously shows devices as 'unauthorized'. I've read people do simple things like unplug/replug, uncheck/recheck USB debugging, restart the device and all possible combinations of those things in any order. My older devices dutifully ask me upon connection or USB Debugging enablement if the PC I connected it to is allowed and once I click OK the device is authorized (like my 4.1.2 Samsung Galaxy S3). This screen NEVER comes up on newer devices, never offering a way to authorize the device.

 

Android devices that work

  • Samsung Galaxy S3 (4.1.2)
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7" (4.1.2)
  • ASUS Transformer 10.1" (4.0.3)
  • ASUS Transformer Infinity 10" (4.2.1)
  • Lenovo IdeaTab 7" (4.0)
  • ASUS MeMO SmartPad 10.1" (4.1)
  • Sony Xperia Tablet Z 10" (4.2.2)

 

Devices that refuse to authorize:

  • Samsung Galaxy S4 (4.3)
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (4.3)
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0" (4.2.2)

 

The obvious trend here is, Samsung and anything over 4.2 doesn't seem to work (allow authorization). I can find nothing but Kies software with a "reinstall USB driver" option which I've installed and tried but these devices merely are visible in windows, allow file transfers with no issues, show up in 'adb devices' as 'unauthorized' and in Flash Builder 4.7 they show up as their serial numbers, 'online' and AIR is not installed, with no OS version.

 

Has anyone had any luck with a late Samsung device and USB debugging, or getting the devices to authorize with the OS? As much as I've narrowed it (which doesn't help) is OS 4.2 and up now ask for a RSA fingerprint for authorization from Windows whereas 4.1 and below do not. Somehow only the older Galaxy Tab and Sony are getting this. I guess Samsung is just having an issue (with Win7 Pro 64bit).

 

Any native developers know how to force a device to authorize?

offline activation fails

I have in install of Flash Builder 4.7 installed on a system that does not have direct access to the open internet. 

 

The registration/activation instructions say to generate a request code and take it with my serial number to www.adobe.com/go/getactivated  for a response code to activate the software.

 

Every attempt for more than a month has been met with the following response: 

 

                  "Unable to process your request. Please try again later."


Adobe Customer Support has been engaged on this for over a month with promises of it being escalated, but ultimately no resolution.   Meanwhile my trial version has expired, I am unable to do any further development and I have an angry customer.

 

Does anyone (Adobe or otherwise) have an alternate solution?   Does anyone know who to contact for Adobe to fix their Offline Activation web site?

Flash Builder 4.7 - Command line ExportReleaseBuild unable to compile to Captive Runtime?

Hi,

 

I am working on a project with the following setup:

- AIR Desktop running with the ExtendedDesktop Profile with GPU rendermode

- Apache Flex SDK 4.11

- SWF version 18

- Implements the FRESteamWorksNative Extension

- Flash Builder 4.7 Premium is our work enviroment

 

Our problem is that we can compile the project in Flash Builder manually as Captive Runtime, but when we run it with ExportReleaseBuild in our build.xml, it seems to forget our Captive runtime target and just outputs the installer.

 

This is our buildscript:

Help with DCD_FIBER_LOCATION error

Hi!

 

While working with the new Flex, Flash Builder 4, I've encountered an error. After I defined a *.fxp file to import and press "Next", a DCD_FIBER_LOCATION-Message shows up an cancels the import. Is there any way to fix this issue?

It says error on line 34. It would be helpful if I could see line numbers. I looked through the preferences but could not find any.

Cannot license Flash Builder 4.6 Premium with CS6 Master Collection serial number

Hi.

 

I am trying to license Flash Builder 4.6 Premium that came with CS6 Master Collection using the serial number for CS6. I installed CS6 Master Collection and then licensed successfully all products but for Flash Builder 4.6 Premium. When I start Flash Builder, it says it is still in Trial mode. When I try to license it using the serial number that came with CS6, it says that the serial number is invalid.

 

Please kindly help.

Tour de flex down. Reports "no internet connection"

7/2/2014: Tour de Flex: Tour de Flex | Adobe Developer Connection does not seem to be be working. Comes up with the following message:

 

"Tour de Flex is OFFLINE

 

If you are seeing this, Tour de Flex has not detected an internet connection and you are offline. Most of the AIR samples will work offline but many other samples require an internet connection."

 

Most examples don't work in this state. My internet connection is fine (using it now to enter this post). This has been going on for the last month. Before that it worked. I get the same result on all my machines. It appears that Adobe has turned off the server component. If this is the case.. that's bad for developers. Tour de Flex was the most useful tool around to help build Flex proficiency. The Apache Flex site examples are utterly dismal and useless. There is no substitute that I've been able to find for Tour de Flex.

 

Can anyone tell me what the status is of this tool? Is Apache taking it over? Why would Adobe take it down before it's migrated?
